Donation Policy

Last updated October 10, 2026

Thank you for supporting Giving Back Nevada, a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit (EIN 88-3056923) based in Las Vegas, Nevada. This policy explains how we accept, use and acknowledge your donations.

The short version

  • Our team is 100% volunteer, so your donation goes to supplies, not salaries.
  • Donations are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law.
  • We email receipts for every monetary donation.
  • Monthly donations can be changed or cancelled anytime.

How your donation is used

Everyone on our team volunteers their time, so donations are used for the people and animals we serve: water, meals, blankets, clothing, pet supplies and other necessities for members of our homeless community in the greater Las Vegas area.

Ways to give

  • PayPal: one-time or monthly donations by PayPal, debit or credit card on our Donate page.
  • Venmo: one-time donations through our PayPal donation page.
  • Zelle: send to givingbacknv@gmail.com. Zelle charges no fees.
  • Check: contact us and we’ll arrange a time to meet.

Processing fees

PayPal charges a small fee on each online donation. When donating online you can choose to cover this fee so the full amount of your gift reaches us. Covering the fee is optional, and the full amount you pay is recorded as your donation.

Receipts and tax deductibility

Giving Back Nevada does not provide goods or services in exchange for donations, so your gift is tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law. We email a receipt for every monetary donation, and provide receipts for in-kind donations on request. Please consult a tax professional about your individual situation.

Monthly donations

Monthly donations are processed by PayPal on about the same day each month until you cancel. To change or cancel, log in to your PayPal account and go to Settings → Payments → Manage automatic payments, or contact us and we’ll help.

Refunds

Donations are generally non-refundable. If you made a donation in error, such as the wrong amount or a duplicate payment, please contact us within 30 days and we’ll work with you to correct it.

In-kind donations

We gladly accept new or gently used items that help the people we serve, such as thick socks, jackets, warm blankets, backpacks, duffel or tote bags and pet supplies. We can’t accept furniture, electronics, pillows, kitchenware or other household items. Please contact us before dropping anything off. Items we can’t use may be passed on to other local charities.

Your privacy

We never sell, rent or trade donor information. See our Privacy Policy for details on what we collect and how it’s used.
